Day 1 : Amritsar – Dalhousie
The Amritsar Airport will receive visitors in line with their flight time. When you arrive, meet your Veena World tour guide at the airport, and then travel to Dalhousie, a quaint resort town spread across five hills near to the Dhauladhar mountain range. We’ll then have some free time to relax. In the evening, we do a little Meet & Greet event.
Day 2 : Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Dalhousie
Our destination today is Khajjiar, which is also known as Little Switzerland due to its breathtaking natural surroundings. For an additional fee, thrill-seekers can engage in thrilling activities like paragliding, zorbing, and horseback riding, among others. Our next stop is the Khajjiar Sanctuary, which is renowned for its Deodar Forest, Grasslands, and an easy hiking trail that leads to an unspoiled forest and a spectacular view of the Pir Panjal mountains. In the evening, we take a stroll along the Ravi River and go boating at Chamera Dam.
Day 3 : Dalhousie – Dharamshala
Our destination today was Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama’s home, a hilltop city perched on the edge of the Himalayas and encircled by cedar trees. The largest fort in the Himalayas, Kangra Fort, is the first stop on our route. It is located on a hill and provides a panoramic view of the Kangra valley. We next traveled to the ashram Chinmaya Tapovan in the Kangra Valley, which is at the foot of the Dhauladhar Himalayas. We come here and visit the meditation room. Panoramic views are offered as one stroll through the dense pine forest towards the Ashram. Free time to unwind and explore the surroundings after arriving at Dharamshala.
Day 4 : Dharamshala
Our destination today was Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama’s home, a hilltop city perched on the edge of the Himalayas and encircled by cedar trees. The largest fort in the Himalayas, Kangra Fort, is the first stop on our route. It is located on a hill and provides a panoramic view of the Kangra Valley. We next traveled to the ashram Chinmaya Tapovan in the Kangra Valley, which is at the foot of the Dhauladhar Himalayas. We come here and visit the meditation room. Panoramic views are offered as one strolls through the dense pine forest toward the Ashram. Free time to unwind and explore the surroundings after arriving at Dharamshala. Depending on activities, we will stop for a photo at the Dalai Lama Monastery before moving on to Saint John’s Church, an 18th-century church built in the Victorian era, and Bhagsunag Temple, which is considered to be an old temple where Lord Shiva himself presided. Here, we take a short stroll through this picturesque paradise in the Himalayan Mountains, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and watch the magnificent Himalayan sunset.
Day 5 : Dharamshala – Amritsar
Today, we’re going to Amritsar. As soon as we got there, we went to the Partition Museum, the first museum in the world devoted to the 1947 Partition, and Jallianwala Bagh, a historical park and national monument preserved in memory of those killed in the Jallianwala Massacre on April 13, 1919. The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib, is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important place of pilgrimage in the Sikh religion. Akal Takht, the Khalsa’s supreme seat of authority and eternal throne, is also seen here. The glittering temple at night is undoubtedly a feast for the eyes and the spirit.
Day 6 : Amritsar
Depending on the day’s events, we will go to the Attari Wagah Border to see the famed lowering of the flags ceremony, a daily military custom shared by the security forces of Pakistan and India since 1959. The last hour is available for shopping. Stay the night in Amritsar.
Day 7 : Amritsar – Amritsar Farm
To recognize the tremendous sacrifices made by Punjabis while serving in the armed forces, the Punjab State War Heroes Memorial & Museum was founded. We went there this morning. The next stop is Amritsar Farm. We enjoy Punjabi cuisine here. Here, we get to experience a real agricultural setting, complete with a dairy farm, a bullock cart ride, a tractor ride, and a walking tour of the farm.
Day 8 : Amritsar Farm – Departure
Now comes the time to bid our traveling companions farewell. Let’s stay in contact by phone, email, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and then reconnect on another memorable adventure. You everyone, bye!
In line with their flight time, the guests will depart for the Amritsar airport to begin their return journey.
